The future of water in the world

The world is in danger of drought and desertification!

11 Ekim 2019

Water, which is a consumable resource, is vital for all living things in the world. The fact that 70% of our planet is covered with water is unfortunately not enough to eliminate the problem of drought and desertification. Because only 2.5% of the world's water resources can be used as clean water sources.

Clean water resources are rapidly depleting due to the global warming caused by climate change, which is becoming more and more effective. Experts predict that the depletion of water resources will lead to tensions and conflicts between civilizations and the migration of people.

The figures given on the basis of scientific data indicate that Yemen will be the first country to consume its water. For the capital Sana'a, where two million people live, experts consider 2025 as the dry period.

However, Yemen is not alone in the face of this danger. Geographically unlucky, many countries will face water shortages due to climate change or water management errors.

Due to the increase in population, the agricultural production required to feed more than 7 billion people in the world is increasing, putting a huge burden on the world's limited resources. Almost 70% of global freshwater consumption and 90% of water consumption in developing countries are allocated to agriculture, as well as a significant portion of water used to support industrial activities and energy production. The simple fact is that in many places, water consumption has begun to exceed the potential of local water resources.

The UN estimates that by 2025, more than 700 million people will be at risk of forced migration by 2025, given current water consumption trends. “Water refugees are considered a potential problem associated with future water scarcity.

Water scarcity, drought and desertification are so close to us, we need to take bigger steps instead of just reducing the tap. Once we use water, which is a consumable resource, to use nature, we both pollute other water resources and reduce the water supply. However, we can purify the used water and bring it back to nature so that we do not pollute the water resources and consume less water resources.

Realize the importance of waste treatment for a sustainable world and not to dispose of future generations' right to clean water.
